John's family were deeply touched by the many expressions of sympathy, cards and messages received on his recent passing. It has been comforting to realise how much he was thought of by so many people. A special thanks to friends and neighbours, especially Janice, Ian and George and his family, for their kindness and caring and who latterly kept a check on him and helped look after his household needs.
They unfailingly gave generously of their time and kept John up to date with goings on and he and we were very appreciative of this.
Although care services were in place for only a short time John was very grateful to each individual for the kindness and help they gave.
Many thanks also to Rev Jim Reid as Kinghorn Parish minister for his kindness and compassion and for presiding at the funeral service.
Our appreciation also to Terry and her colleagues at Co-operative Funeral Care for the compassionate and professional service provided throughout this sad time.
Finally to everyone who paid their last respects at the crematorium and gave so generously to Cancer Research UK, our chosen cause in memory of John, we are grateful and thankful to you all, a total of £355 was raised.
