Joy CAIRA Obituary
CAIRA
Joy (nee McBrinn)
Peacefully, on 7th July, 2022, at Charing Cross Hospital, in London, after a short series of strokes. Loving older sister to her brother, Derek McBrinn (Maeve) and step mother-in-law to Sheena Caira (the late Dominic Caira). Joy is predeceased by her beloved husband, Louis Caira (a true love match if there ever was one), her parents, Robert and Eileen McBrinn, her big brother George McBrinn, her big sister Freda Creighton, her step-sons Remo Caira and Louis Caira and her step-granddaughter Maria Caira. Joy was also a loving and devoted aunt to Murray, Anya (Henry), Maxine (Ken), Ian (Sam), Shawn, Dhelia (Kevin), Virginia (Paul), Carri, Chris (Jackie), Samantha and Damon (Colleen), as well as step-grandmother to Toni (Stephen), Donata, Dino (Emma) and Carlo and Godmother to Beatrice Creighton.
Joy was an actress in the UK and internationally, appearing in, Taggart, Dr. Findlay, Jimmy McGovern's Broken, Casualty, Hatfields and McCoys and A Shine of Rainbows, among others. She was also a member of the Fife Opera. Joy never lost her passion for acting and was exploring playing one of Macbeth's witches at the Almeida Theatre in London before her untimely passing. But it is as a loving friend that Joy will be most remembered by many in Australia, England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
If you would like to honour Joy, please do so by sending flowers to someone you love.
