YATES Alan In Loving Memory of Alan Yates. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alan Yates, affectionately known as "Big Al". Born on August 14, 1950 in Rotherham, Yorkshire, he left this world on February 29th, 2024 at Boston Hospital, Lincolnshire, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter. Big Al was a beloved brother to Robert, Jenna, and Brian, a proud father to his three children Alan, Shaun, and Michelle, father-in-law to Betsy, Jade and Jared and a loving grandad to Giordan, Charlotte, and Arthur. Though he may no longer be with us, our Big Al's spirit will live on in the memories we shared and the love that will forever echo in our hearts. May he rest in peace. Friends and family are invited to celebrate the life of Big Al at St Wulfram's Church, Grantham on Wednesday, March 20th, 2024, at 12pm. Following the service, a cremation will take place at Lincoln Crematorium at 2.30pm. Followed by the Wake at The Three Gables, Grantham at 4pm. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Ronald McDonald House a cause close to Big Al's heart.
