Marjorie SLATER Obituary
SLATER Marjorie Marjorie has passed away on 28th December 2022, at the Ward Green Lodge Care Home in her home town of Barnsley, Yorkshire aged 100 years. Formerly of Marston and Ancaster. In 1942, during WW2, she joined the 'Women's Land Army', and was sent to work at Marston, where she met Arthur (Les) Slater, they married in 1944. Husband Les died in 2011.In 2015, she moved back to Barnsley. She is survived by son David, daughter-in-law Lana, 2 Grandchildren,4 Great-Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren, who all live near Sydney, Australia.
