The Longbottom family announce the passing of their father, Barrie Longbottom, who died peacefully
in Frimley Park Hospital
on 17th February 2025.
Barrie was born on 24th July
1940 in Halifax, West Yorks.
The youngest and only boy
of four, he completed National
Service with 42 Commando
Royal Marines and also served
with the 1st Battalion the
Parachute Regiment. He was
married to Ann for 53 years
with whom he had four children -
Pete, Kath, John and Claire.
The Funeral Service will be held
on 21st March, 1pm at Redan
Road Chapel, Aldershot, Hants.
Following the funeral service,
there will be light refreshments
and a reception to be held at
Princess Royal Hotel, Farnham.
The family request donations
be made in lieu of flowers to
the Alzheimer's Society.
