Peacefully at home on 6th October 2024, John, aged 87 years, former proprietor of Dryclough Service Station and past Captain of Ryburn Golf Club. John was the beloved husband of the late Irene, dearly loved stepdad of Karen and the late Sandra, father-in-law of Richard, loving grandad of Laura and Ryan, and great-grandad of Kayla and Connor, dear brother of Muriel, Sally and the late Gillian, uncle, great-uncle and best friend of Gordon. He will be very sadly missed by all who knew him. The Celebration of John's Life will take place at 1.30pm on Monday 21st October at Park Wood Crematorium, Elland, to which all are welcome. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Marie Curie Nurses - a collection box will be available on the day. All enquiries to Amanda Dalby Funeral Services tel 01422 253593.
