FROM HIS LOVING SISTER - GILLIAN
Tony, lots of memories, which to share.
Here are but a few................
I remember when we lived on Manor Drive, you did a bike up for me for a birthday. You then taught me to ride that bike, no stabilisers on this bike. You sat me on the bike and you faithfully promised to gently guide me down the street. The next thing I knew you pushed me as hard as you could and sent me careering down the street with legs flailing and my screams loud. You were right, best way to learn to ride a bike, I put on the brakes, stopped, shouted some abuse at you of course and then I was off to join friends on my new bike.
You bought me my first horse, as you knew how much I loved and longed for one, you paid for the grazing every week.
Then there was the time I was being threatened by an older boy who was in the skulls gang at Northowram. You told me to go onto the playground by the rec while you watched out of the window. When this boy came and threatened me, as you instructed, I suggested he look up at the window of our house and once he saw you there to protect me he soon scarpered, he never threatened me again.
Twice you let me live in your house at Northowram when I needed a place to stay, you didn't want any rent from me, I just covered the bills.
You bought Aaron a soft toy lion from a stall in the foyer at mom and dads flats, this became his cherished childhood comforter. He still has Lennie the lion and still loves him dearly.
It broke my heart to leave you all when I came to New Zealand and I wanted to do something for you before I left. I cherish the time we spent together doing up your house, the fish and chip lunches we shared. It was a labour of love for you Tony, the leat I could do and a thank you for mom and dad for taking such good care of my children when I worked. Nick was happy to do his bit putting in your kitchen and carpets, he always enjoyed you pulling his leg. It was with pride you invited family for a nice tea up at yours, that was a lovely night.
I always knew you loved me Tony, that you were there for me and would never intentionally hurt me. You never liked to see me upset and you would try to put things right for me when I was. I felt truly loved.
Thank you Tony, know that I love and miss you dearly, you were a very special brother who will always be in my heart. Know too that my boys loved the many hours they spent with you, they have some fond memories of you.
Take care Love xxxx

Love you always Uncle Tony
Uncle Tony
You squeezed me so tight with your big warm embrace, the look of love on your smiley face,
you were always pleased to see me,although not enough, life is all about ifs, whys and buts.
I know you are now in heaven and your soul is now at peace.
you deserve eternal happiness and in Gods kingdom you will be.
Your soul can now travel wherever you want to be,you're welcome anytime just call and see me.
I will love you forever and my memories will never fade,
Good bye for now until we meet again.
