Aged 93, went peacefully to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on 17th December 2025 at Ashfield Court Care Home in Harrogate.
Her early life was in Gosforth, Newcastle Upon Tyne. She was the widow of Robert Henry Lord.
Joan was a devoted mum with a passion for gardening and home making. She was also a house mother at a Girl's Approved School in Kenilworth and latterly a carer and antiques dealer in Harrogate.
She loved reading and politics. She trusted her whole life to Christ.
The funeral will be on January 27th at Stonefall Cemetery Chapel
HG3 1DE at 12.20pm and afterwards at St Mark's Church HG2 8AY.
She will be missed by family and friends.
