Rest in peace Mick. I'll remember your generosity, particularly when you put me up in Chelmsford all those years ago. Our time spent down The Tulip, your love of Wimbledon FC, music and Carry on Films, as well as your work with the Samaritans are things I will remember you for. You will be missed by all.

Rest in peace Uncle Mick. I have many happy memories. Playing on our bikes in Walmer Road and Gainsborough. You welcoming Laurence to Gladstone Road and immediately making him feel part of the family. The unforgettable day me you and Jon camped out all night on Fleet Street to get a good view of Lady Di´s wedding. To name but a few. Plenty of beer , laughs and kindness all the way. A kind ,unique and unforgettable Uncle who I loved.

Thank you Mick for your long hair and your silver and yellow high platform boots your delight in Kenny Everett Jasper Carrott Jim Davidson; thank you for me to the Beatles when I was 3 and then for sending me those wonderful cassette tapes featuring Rumours and Songs In the Key of Life which were my university sound track and which I still love; thank you for all the beer and fun and the Classico Notting Hill pub crawl we did to celebrate your Dad my Grandad; thank for getting severely sunburnt with me and Carolyn on that infamous day in Brighton; thank you for that superb tour of the old Courage Brewery on London Bridge and for the visits to London Weekend TV when you introduced me to Frank Bruno and Cannon & Ball and told me about your hilarious spat with Ian St John; thank you for the wonderful boating holiday on the Oxfordshire canals with taxi driver John that lovely October Indian summer when we drank gallons of beer and ate 3 big meals a day plus snackettes; thank you for Wimbledon FC and for that away day to Sheffield Utd when you ensured we had a large copper to escort us back to the station. The boat holiday was organised by you to help me at a challenging time and you were so kind. Above all thank you for wearing your thunderbird suit with me and riding our first bikes along Walker Road and what fun it was for us to wear our suits to Viv and Jan´s weddings with Carolyn in her bridesmaid dress and Len in his red velvet
Love you my dear kind funny uncle
