null Moore. Obituary
Moore. With heavy hearts, we share the news of the passing of Shirley Moore (née Bell), of Edmund Chadwick Grove, Douglas, who passed away peacefully on 7th March, with her children by her side, after a courageous battle with a long illness, borne with bravery and dignity. Shirley's warmth, kindness and gentle humour touched many lives. A beloved wife, mum, nan and great nannie, her spirit will forever be a beacon of light for her family. Devoted wife of Jimmy for 57 years, much loved mum to Wayne, Kim and Glenn, cherished Nan to Danny, Jade, Jordan, Josh, Yasmin, Shannon, Dylan, Abbie, Conor, Marni, Emily and Alfie, and a proud great nannie to 12 children. Loving sister to Maureen, Sheila (her twin), David and Colin, and predeceased by her much loved brother Freddie and sister Hillary, and a much loved aunt to her many nieces and nephews. We will gather to honour Shirley's memory at Douglas Borough Crematorium on Thursday 19th March at 1:15pm, with a celebration of life at Douglas Golf Club. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Hospice. With very grateful thanks to Eldergrange, who cared for mum in her final weeks. Their kindness meant the world to her and to us. Your stories and memories of Shirl are warmly welcomed as we remember a life beautifully lived. All enquiries please to Alfred Duggan and Son Funeral Directors Ltd. Telephone 673328.
