CANNELL - Ian C.B.E. Mollie would like to say thank you for the overwhelming number of sympathy cards,letters, phone calls and flowers since Ian's death - each one special and much appreciated at a very sad time. Shewould also like to thank Adorn Carers, Midge, Vanessa and John for helping her to keep Ian in his own home as hewished. Many thanks to those who visited Ian during his long illness, in particular Eric Wright (formerly of GalesFayre, Peel) who was always there for both of us. Thank you to those who helped organise the funeral in difficultcircumstances and took part in it - Canon Brian Kelly, organist Gareth Moore, soloist Terry Qualtrough, AlwynCollister for the Bible reading, standard bearers and parade marshal, Stephen Webster, Steve Rodan for theexhortation, buglers Ashley Cole and Arthur Christian and a huge thank you to Donald Gelling for his wonderfuleulogy. Thank you to Elaine's florist for the coffin spray and to Frances Watterson and Jean Hughes for the flowers inchapel. Many thanks to Peel Golf Club for an excellent buffet. Thanks also to those who sent donations to the RoyalBritish Legion Poppy Appeal and finally, a big thank you to Simon Mellor of David Lancaster Funeral Directors, forhis professionalism and patience. It was a most fitting send off for a well-loved man - Ian would have been pleased.
