I first met Kipper at the TT in 1975, enjoying a few beers at the Woodbourne Hotel in Douglas - having completed a busy day as Chief travelling marshal. I was staying just down the road, and got to know him well over the next 10 years. A great character and always great company- wonderful real-world stories that I still remember today... All endorsed by the fact that he was Chief Constable. Sincerest condolences to all. But what a great innings ! Dave - Epsom

A fabulous man. Lots of childhood memories and memories to this day of kipper. As a child my Dad brought me to the isle of man over 35 years ago along with my brother in law Andrew Cain, and we stayed and still do to this day next door to kipper. Sadly we missed Kipper this year having just returned. Long live kipper, never be forgotten. Sleep well
