Mary RAWCLIFFE Obituary
RAWCLIFFE. With great regret, we announce that Mary Elizabeth Rawcliffe of The Malt House, Castletown, beloved wife of Roger, and mother of James, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, 4th November, having lived life to the full in the Isle of Man community since 1980 moving over from England with family. Her funeral service will be held at Santon Parish Church, 11am on Thursday 20th November. Yesterday
When I moved to the island in 2017 to help my husband look after his mother in Castletown, I met Elizabeth and Roger. They were so kind, inviting me to tea several time and giving me lots of helpful suggestions about getting in to the education sector on island. I met them at various social events and without fail they were kind, entertaining and interested. I'm so glad Elizabeth was at home at the end and passed away peacefully. She and Roger were lovely people. I am so sorry I won't be able to attend her funeral as I'm teaching that day.
