Silvester MAZZARELLA Obituary

MAZZARELLA Silvester Silvester Mazzarella, 88, passed away on the 17th of January at home in Canterbury. Born in Manchester in 1936, educated at the King's School Canterbury and the University of Oxford, he was a lecturer in English at Helsinki University and a prize-winning translator. An avid fan of cricket and the Goon Show, an aficionado of trad jazz and classical music, Silvester was at heart a historian. He is survived by his children William, Miranda, and Cecilia, and by his grandchildren Amelia and Jacob. A memorial will be held in person and online. I have only just heard about Silvester,so sorry. Here are 2 photos taken at Harbledown C C at the end of last season when we won the Ist div of the KVL. We were so pleased to see him there sharing our triumph.
