Philpott Suddenly but peacefully at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary on
the 6th January 2017.
Carey
aged 51 years.
My darling beloved and best friend of 29 years, most loving dad to Patrick, Katherine and Elizabeth, much loved son of Mike and the late Rita Philpott and adored brother of late Tracey Beadle. Heartfelt thanks to the paramedic team, Dr Colin Read UHMBT,
all staff at the ICU and the organ donor team who cared for him
and us. Professor of Education at Leeds Beckett University, Carey Philpott's sudden departure is keenly felt by his brothers-in-law, Douglas, David and Andrew,
by Jim and Mary Gordon, his sisters-in-law, many nieces and his nephew, great friends, family, colleagues and students.

Dear Jane and Carey's entire Family, I have only learnt about Carey's death today, which saddened me deeply. Carey contributed immensely to the event I organised last year in Poland and generated lots of positive emotions on my side. I must share it with you that he made me feel proud about the Gdansk conference and added to both my satisfaction and confidence. I have ever since sensed gratitude for that. I wish so my I had had more opportunities to meet Him and you, too.
I hope these words of mine will be received as words meant to show great respect to Carey and to you. Best, Michal Daszkiewicz ([email protected])
