Nick, Didn't know this page existed till today, you were a mate who I had the privilege to work for as 'roadie' with the rest of the DB's for eight years. During that time, if we were working near Leicester you stayed with my mum and dad, and always suppiled the scotch!!. Memories of dodgy digs, **** chalets, but especially, a lethal spinach curry that you knocked up in your old caravan when we were skint(Hayling Island I think), by God we were jet propelled the next day!! We lost touch in the later days, something I will always regret. RIP old friend, Paul C. (Dallas).

we will always remember your visits as such fun occasions during my childhood and our exciting visits to the theatres around the country whenever our holidays just happened to co-incide with where you were appearing! You meant so much especially to Dad - his 'little brother'. With love to Ruth and the family

It was always an exciting treat to travel up to Stockport to see Uncle Nicky, Auntie Ruth, Mel and Jonny. I remember Jonny and Uncle Nicky competing on the trumpet, board games in the dining room, long walks in the park with the dogs kicking around a mangy football, and then in the evenings listening to Uncle Nicky's great stories about his exploits with the likes of Sammy Davis Jr and Elvis. I'm sure the three of them are now having a laugh over a game of cards. Uncle Nicky will be sorely missed by us all, but not forgotten. Little Lucia is already learning to say his name. Lots of love, Chris, Peta and Lucia xxx

Such warmth and a great sense of fun. I too loved spending time with the Clarkes at Stockport. I remember Uncle Nicky's laughter, love of music, ability to cook a mean curry, bear hugs. And his huge pride in his family. He was such a cool uncle - I couldn't keep up with his knowledge of all the latest pop music! I will miss him. Big hugs to my wonderful Auntie Ruth, Jonathan and Melanie.

Dad I will miss you: I will miss your presence in the house; sitting on the armchair in front of the TV, playing your music really loudly in the front bedroom and playing the trumpet. I miss our phone calls when you would always make me laugh; you would finishing every sentence with a song; you would always ask me what I had for dinner and we would swap receipes. I will miss you calling me Jane or Kid. I will miss your sharp suits and your tatty shorts, your DIY advice and help. Your catch phrases. Your love and support. Love you dad.

Dearest Nick, now with the Big Trumpeter in the sky, I shall miss you, the foot-tapping Dallas Boy in those smart suits who always livened up any room he was in. Entertaining, good company, loyal, devoted family man, dodgy horserace tipster, a great bloke, the best husband for my sister and the best Dad for my nephew and niece. I was privileged to be his brother-in-law. Love Mike x
