If we weren´t nattering, we were singing. If not singing, we were doing the Pop Quiz - competitively!!
I´m glad you changed your mind at the last minute to go to Chorley. You shared memories of past-times, of family and friends and work. Hope you bump into a few of your friends and acquaintances up there... because that´s where you said they would all be!
Thank you for your friendship Elsie. Thank you for your trust in me. Most of all, thank you for the positivity that shone from you that you shared in abundance.

With the very fondest of memories of your kindness and open hearted hospitality when I was a young man. Of adventures shared and laughter always. The clandestine expeditions to build your rockery. The inexhaustible supply of salted peanuts and the flow of wine. Of my horror when I poured half a gallon of water over your sofa and the explosion of laughter that followed when we saw toy soldiers rise above the cushions. The enduring memory of what nearly was with the Back Lane Coal Scuttle Project. The sound of your laughter will live long in my memory. RIP Elsie.
