Sam Kent - NHPS: Class of 2009
Yesterday
As a former pupil whop attended Richard's final primary school from 2002-2009 and a secondary school teacher myself. I am thankful for the opportunities that Richard provided for young people of South Northamptonshire to access the performing arts. Richard loved the theater and always ensured that Nicholas Hawksmoor's pupils had opportunities to learn musical installments. Whether it be drums, tuba, violin or guitar. The trust he showed in renting out the school to two music schools on a Saturday morning despite the inevitable push back and paperwork helped to provide both my adolescence and those of countless others with purpose and community. - Even helping to kickstart the careers of some professional musicians.
Will always be remembered as the gentle old man whose love of the arts helped make his school more than just another primary school. Thank you old friend and one day hopefully we will meet again.

It is with great sadness to hear of Mr Edwards passing, he was my headteacher at NHPS when I was there he was always polite, kind hearted and knew us all by name in the school. I had severe medical issues and he always came and saw me post a hospital appointment to see how it went and if I was ok which summed up the sort of person Mr Edwards was. He will be missed by so many in the Towcester community and we thank him for all he did for us children under his care at NHPS.
