great sadness
that the family of
William (Bill) Munnings
of Orton Longueville, Peterborough,
announces his passing on
3rd March 2026.
Born in Shanghai in 1934, he was a renowned national journalist, who spent part of his early career working on local newspapers in the Peterborough area.
A much-loved husband, dad, grandad, and recently, great-grandfather.
His funeral service will be held at 11.00am on 2nd April at
Peterborough Crematorium.

Bill was a fixture in my early days as a young journalist in Peterborough...in awe of some of the stories he was able to source on behalf of what was then the Fleet Street press. Sad to hear of his passing and sending warmest wishes to the family.
