DOBSON Alan Bindloss (Colinton, Edinburgh)
Peacefully, at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, on September 7, 2017, Alan, beloved husband of Audrey, loyal friend and colleague. Service at Warriston Crematorium, Lorimer Chapel, on Monday, September 18, at 3 pm, to which all friends are invited. Family flowers only please, but there will be a retiring collection in aid of Parkinson's.

Jim and I were saddened to hear of the passing of my cousin, Alan. He was a dear man and a devoted husband to Audrey. They were extremely kind to me when I was a young teacher working in England in the 1960s. We visited them later when they lived in Edinburgh and I remember his love of music and singing, and love for dogs. For many years he and Audrey trained and puppy-walked guide dogs for the blind and in their later years provided a home for retired guide dogs - a wonderful service to the disabled. We send our condolences to Audrey and hope that she is in good health. With love.
