Alan Main, aged 87 years, former Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland.
Beloved husband of Anne, a much loved father of Katherine and the late Lesley, a dear father-in-law, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Funeral service to be held at Tarves Parish Church, on Tuesday, December 12, at 12 noon, followed by a private committal. Family flowers only please, donations, if desired,
to Parkinson's UK.

My dad Jock Davidson is 95 and was presented with a Long Service certificate in Carluke, whilst Rev Alan Main was Moderator of the General Assembly. I am writing my dad's life story and remembering the day.
