We are sad to announce the passing of Alan Ritchie, at the age of 84,
on Wednesday, May 14, 2025.
Born Newhaven, Edinburgh 5/3/1941
Trinity Academy pupil, primary and secondary school 1st class honours and MSC in Mathematical Physics from Edinburgh University.
Excelled in sport, rugby, cricket, squash and tennis. Excellent musician, played oboe in the Reid Orchestra.
Sadly missed by Jane Ritchie
(nee McGhee), his wife of 57 years and his children Malcolm and Jennifer and grandson Callum.
Funeral on Monday, June 16, 2025,
