Alan SHAND Obituary
SHAND Alan (Leith) Peacefully, at St Columba's Hospice, on Saturday, February 21, 2015, after an illness bravely borne, Alan, aged 62. A very special son, husband, dad, gaga, brother and a wonderful pal to many. A celebration of Alan's life will be held in the Lorimer Chapel, Warriston Crematorium, on Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at 11 am, to which all family and friends are invited. A collection will be taken on behalf of St Columba's Hospice.

Hey happy easter Sunday I wish I was meeting you for a pint! So I've been thinking how much I took you for granted at times but no matter what I did you always tried to be there for me & I knew I always could come to you and you'd never turn your back on me Dad. This time of year i dunno why i always think off you! Its true you never know how much someone means to you until its too late and they're gone! I've needed you so much since you've been gone, I'm sorry for all our ups and downs and i never truly gave you a chance until it was too late!! Just wanted to say that I can't get you out my mind the last few weeks I miss you so much!! what I'd give just to speak to you! I wish you were to see how much logan has grown up she starts primary 2 tomorrow already! When you died dad a piece of me went with you and even though time goes by I still can't get over your death! I'll love you forever and miss you more than you will ever know love Lauren xxxx
