He was a great teacher and wonderful musician who introduced the pupils of Buckhaven High School to classical music. I will always remember my time as his only pupil taking Higher music.

In memorian - Albert Cochrane
Albert Cochrane was head of the music department when I was a pupil there from 1956 until 1961. He was a wonderful musician and teacher, and always played his piano between classes. I used to change my route to my next class, so that I could pass his classroom, and listen to his wonderful piano playing. He inspired me to wish to become a music teacher, which I eventually did. My deepest respects, Mr. Cochrane - I'm sure that you wouldn't have remembered me - but I have never forgotten you. Rest in peace, sir, and rise in glory.
