Peacefully, on December 17, 2025, aged 81, at Tantallon House Care Home, North Berwick, Brian, dearly beloved
husband of Anne, much loved father
of Helen and Gavin. Adored papa to Max, Freddie and Honor, a loving uncle and friend to many.
A celebration of his life will be held at Mortonhall Crematorium, Main Chapel, on Friday, January 16, 2026, at 11 am, to which all family, friends and all who knew him, are warmly invited.

I just found out today about your sad news.
Brian and I go back many years as firstly friend and solicitor at McLachan McKenzie but latterly list touch.
I was so saddened hear today.

Brian was my and my late husband´s lawyer when we bought our first house in 1968. Subsequent houses were purchased under his excellent advice and assistance. Brian also helped us with other legal matters on a few occasions and never billed us for his services. He was very kind and generous and I´m sure will be sorely missed by his family and friends.

Brian was our lawyer when we bought our first flat £500,! He was always lovely and kind and we used him in all our future houses. When I got redundancy almost 30 years ago and we paid off our mortgage. Brian sent me a lovely letter congratulating us , then later on I lost my husband again Brian wrote. He was a lovely man and I know you would have many happy years together. Treasure them, lots of happy memories.
