Dearly loved husband of Jaqueline (Jackie) and dearly loved dad to Mark, Paul, Peter and David.
Passed away peacefully, at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, on January 23, 2026, aged 83. Chris's funeral service will take place at Mortonhall Crematorium, Pentland Chapel, on February 10, 2026, at 11.30 am. Family flowers only, please. Donations if desired to Chest, Heart and Stroke Association.

To Jackie and all the Baurs,
I am so sorry to hear that Chris has passed away. He was such an amazing human being, a wonderful husband, Dad and Grandpa. Chris always had something interesting, thoughtful and witty to say, and he always made everyone feel special when talking to him. Heidi, Gus and Jack loved Papa Chris and his excellent story telling, sand castle building skills, kite flying expertise and his love given so generously in the time they shared with him and Grandma Jackie. Jackie I am so sorry for your loss, you and Chris were a couple I admired so much, your love for each other always radiated and was joyful to be around. Chris is gone but will never be forgotten.
