(Ravelston, Edinburgh)
At St. Columba's Hospice following his recent illness, on September 21, 2023, aged 71 years.
Dearly loved husband of Gillian, step-father to Naomi and Lydia, brother-in-law to Timothy and Ralph, uncle to Mike, Niel and Alan, great-uncle to Angus, Dougal and Daisy.
Humanist ceremony, at 11 am, on October 9, at Warriston Crematorium, Lorimer Chapel.
David will be sadly missed.
Family flowers only and donations to St Columba's Hospice.

Went through school with David and kept up intermittently over the years. When I was 13 I came home from school and asked my father for Jaguar and Daimler brochures. When asked who they were for I apparently replied 'My friend.' I took the brochures and Tom Boland bought a Daimler 250 in 1966 for his wife and that started a relationship which included two Rolls-Royces and many small company cars and a TR6 for David's 21st. Much respect for David and his self deprecating humour was delightful.

Sorry to read that you have gone. I am sure you will be sadly missed. I very nice man, kind and caring. I knew you in the 1970s. He got his first Ferrari when I purchased my flat in Learmonth. We discussed which one would increase in value over the years.
