Peacefully, on Saturday, March 23, 2024. Much loved husband to Patricia, dad, grandfather and father-in-law. David was Senior Lecturer of Physics at Heriot Watt University.
Funeral service will be held at Warriston Crematorium, Cloister Chapel, on Tuesday, April 16, at 2.30 pm, to which all are welcome. Donations, if desired, can be made to Dementia UK in David's memory.

Our condolences for David to his family and friends. I had the great surprise to find that David was my school teacher for a short period of time in Barnes. I am sure it came as a surprise to him also. To think that my school teacher rose to studying a degree in physics at Exeter , and the dizzy heights of Senior professor of physics at Edinburgh. Warriston is meaningful as we have attended both Judys grandmothers and her son Teddy´s funerals at the same. `Morning side´ being their home area. Listening to the life of David is getting to know him and his family a little better. God rest. Peter & Judy
