Grandson of Red Clyde John Maclean and brother of Unst artist Frances Wilson, in Aberdeen,
on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, (88), where he was an undergraduate,
then Lecturer in Computer Science at the university.
Denis leaves his sister and three nieces, Fiona, Sara, Moira.
An avid mountaineer, botanist, musician and individual thinker,
Denis's life will be celebrated at Aberdeen University King's College Chapel, on Friday, November 21,
at 10.30 am, followed by refreshments at the university. At 2 pm a natural burial for family and friends will be held at Cothiemuir Hill Burial Ground, Keig. Please contact Fiona for more details ([email protected]).
