It is with profound sadness that the family announce the death of Colonel (Retd) Douglas Andrew Macdonald RAVC BVM&S MSc.
He passed peacefully, surrounded by his family, on March 13, 2026, at East Lothian Community Hospital.
Beloved husband of Fiona (nee Gillan), loving Dad to Alison, David and Beth and dear Grandad to Charlie, Amelia and Sophie.
His funeral will take place on Friday, April 3, at 12 noon, Mortonhall Crematorium, Main Chapel, Edinburgh.
