Peacefully, on January 29, 2026,
aged 71. Beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.
The funeral service will take place in St Magnus Cathedral, Kirkwall, on Tuesday, February 10, at 11.30 am.
Family flowers only, but a retiring collection will be available in aid of Vascular/Aortic Marker Research. Online donations may be sent to the Aortic Dissection Trust - aorticdissectioncharitabletrust.org

Knew Jim since he was born - he shared an incubator with me!! Went through school together where it became obvious how intelligent and driven he was - he always said he wanted to be involved in politics and what a magnificent job in it. He will be sadly missed by family and friends. RIP
