Joe Steele Obituary
STEELE Joe (Tranent / Prestonpans) Peacefully, after a long illness and surrounded by his family, at Midlothian Community Hospital, on Saturday, October 3, 2015, Joe, former press photographer at Edinburgh Evening News, beloved husband of Lorraine, loving dad to Grant and Amanda, father-in-law to Ronnie and Catherine and devoted grandad to Rebecca, Natalie, Charlie and Emily. A funeral service will be held at Seafield Crematorium, on Tuesday, October 13, at 2pm, to which all are welcome.

Remembering Joe with gteat affection, I worked in the Evening News from 1968-1985, and Joe chose me a number of times to accompany him to Hampden and Murrayfield, to act as the 'runner' (taking the rolls of film to the stands, so they could be sent electronically to North Bridge for the sports edition of the 'news'. Joe also kindly did Ann and I's wedding pics, and a few years later our daughter Jennifers 6 month picture album. Great memories of a Diamond Geezer. Stuart Davey.
