Died peacefully, of old age on October 3, 2025, at Trinity House Care Home, Edinburgh. Former Director of Studies in Agriculture and Environmental Studies at the University of Edinburgh. Former Senior Elder of Stockbridge Parish Church and past Chairman of RLS Club. Devoted husband to the late Muriel MacDonald, loving father to their three daughters, Lindy Jayne, Shirley and Sarah. Proud uncle to Mandy and David, a cherished father-in-law to Billy, Gordon and Pete and adored grandfather of Syd and Georgie.
He is survived by his much loved older sister, Shirley Walker.
Following a private family burial there will be a memorial service in celebration of his life at Stockbridge Parish Church, on Friday, January 16, 2026, at 12 noon,to which all family, friends and neighbours are warmly invited.
