Dr Kenneth Hyslop (Edinburgh)
On Friday, June 29, 2018, after a short illness, Ken, Hon Fellow of Moray House, University of Edinburgh, beloved husband of Alana, father of Paul and Matt, grandfather of Lucy and brother of Alan, Kate and Eleanor and cousin to many. I am so sorry to hear of Ken's passing both as an old school friend and, more recently, as a colleague.
I recall fondly the time spent with Ken and occasionally with Alan and the kind hospitality of his parents, particularly their father's generosity with the odd beer.
After school, our paths diverted and it was only many years later that we became colleagues, latterly having offices in the same "enclave".
We weren't ever as close as we had been at school and we worked on different areas of interest but I will remember Ken very fondly and know that he will be a great loss to the family.
I would like to get the details of any memorial celebration of Ken's life and would like to attend such.

As a student of Education Community and Society I am deeply saddened to hear of the death of Dr Ken McCulloch for whom I had the greatest respect. Dr Ken conducted my mock viva on 9th May 2018 in time for my doctoral viva on 11th May 2018 and I feel most privileged to have known him and received the benefits of his academic expertise, knowledge and advice.
I am sending my sincere condolences to his wife and family.

I am so sorry for your loss. Ken was a very inspiring, dynamic and passionate man and I am so Privelaged to have been taught by him. Thinking of his family and close friends at this sad time. RIP Ken xx
