Died peacefully, in her sleep, in Edinburgh, aged 90, on Tuesday, March 13, 2018. Mathematician and teacher. Wife of Michael, mother of David and Robin, grandmother of Ellen, Ned and Jamie. Private burial, no flowers. Donations to Friends of Boroughmuir School. A memorial celebration of Lily's life will be held in the Playfair Library of the University of Edinburgh, on July 20, 2018.
