Auntie Lys and Uncle Ian were always great hosts and full of life. They always shared their adventures in slide shows at our family gatherings, usually after filling us to the gunnels with great food. Auntie Lys was great fun when she visited me more recently in France and remembered enough French from her teaching days to be able to eat and drink and make jokes with the waiters. She was so proud of Keith and Stuart and would be proud of the service you have both put together today . Lots of love, Brian

When growing up in Edinburgh my family spent much time with my Aunt Lysbeth and Uncle Ian, not least at every Xmas and on holidays. She was always a joy to have around, laughing and joking, and ensuring everyone had a good time. I left Edinburgh after school and saw much less of her after that, but just a few years ago, visiting Edinburgh for a rugby match, I popped over her house to see her, and she was unchanged in her good humour. It was a delight to see her again, and impressive to watch her mastery of her computer.

Sincere condolences to you Stuart and Keith on the death of your mother Lysbeth. She was a lovely lady. I have really good memories of her warm welcome to us...Frances' family..whenever we visited. May she rest in peace.
