Norma SHORT Obituary
SHORT
Norma
(Broxburn)
In loving memory of
Norma Mary Muir Short.
Norma, a devoted wife, beloved mother, cherished grandmother and dear sister, passed away peacefully, at the age of 86. Born on September 18, 1938, Norma was the daughter of Alexander and Margaret (Gillies) Cooper.
She was a devoted wife to Brian Short and a wonderful mother to Douglas and Alexander.
Born and raised in Portobello, Norma lived in Duddingston for many years before moving to Broxburn, West Lothian where she and Brian lived and were active members of the community and members of Broxburn Parish Church for 26 years.
Norma took immense pride in her family and was a constant source of love, warmth, guidance and quiet strength. Norma's pride and joy extended to her grandchildren, Emma, David, Stephanie, Rebecca, and Nicholas. She will be sadly missed by her two daughters-in-law, Ellen and Charlotte, who were always kept close by her generous heart and welcoming spirit.
Norma was the sister of Margaret and Alexandra, with whom she shared many memories and family connections.
A service to celebrate Norma's life will be held on September 4, at 10 am, at Broxburn Parish Church, followed by cremation at the West Lothian Crematorium, at 11 am.
A reception will follow at Macdonald Houston House Hotel in Uphall, where friends and family are invited to share memories and extend their condolences.
