It is with great sadness that Diane wishes to announce that Robert passed away peacefully, at home,
on November 6, 2024.
Beloved husband of Diane, father to Sally, Nicola and David and wonderful Wawa to his grandchildren.
A private family service will be held
A gentle man and gentleman,
He will be forever cherished.

So sorry to learn of Robert's passing. I knew him through our motor racing involvement. A lovely guy. I did like the Ali Baba slippers too.

A consummate gentleman, generous with his time and wisdom. Robert and Diane´s New Year open house gatherings were a core memory of my childhood. He was kind enough to share some of his LPs from his treasured collection with me - I shall think of him whenever I play them.

Robert was always kind, considerate and generous. I could not have asked for a better line manager when I was developing my career as a young researcher. A great guy, he will be sadly missed.
