THOMSON Valerie (Glasgow) Very suddenly, as the result of a road accident in Glasgow, on July 24, 2009, Mary Valerie (nee Ferguson) aged 60 years, teacher of Home Economics at Glasgow Academy and formerly at Laurel Bank School and Glasgow Gaelic School, dearly beloved wife of Kenneth Thomson, much loved mother of Fergus and Alison, devoted granny of Anna, Archie and Lucy, dear sister of Duncan and Angus and dear mother-in-law of Katie and Neil. Memorial service at St. Columbas Church, 300 St. Vincent Street, Glasgow, on Monday, August 3, at 7 pm, to which all friends are respectfully invited. Private cremation on Tuesday on Tuesday, August 4, at Clydebank Crematorium and a service Portnahaven Church, Isle of Islay on Saturday, August 8, at 1.30 pm. No flowers please, donations, if desired, to CLIC Sargent Cancer Care for Children.
