Peter DEWAR

DEWAR, Peter Stewart April 23, 1920 - May 20, 2002 Devoted husband of Betty. Loving father of Michael Peter (Diane), John Peter and Carole Denise (Jim). Predeceased by his son Timothy Scott (January 25, 1968). Peter graduated from Patterson Collegiate and then the University of Toronto as a Mechanical Engineer. He began his lifelong career with Ford in Windsor; transferred to Ford U.S. Tractor Operations and finally served many years as Engineering Manager for Ford of Europe. He retired in 1980 and following a brief assignment with Ford in Pakistan, returned to Canada where he enjoyed many years of travel, golf and sailing. Respected and admired by many, he was a steadfast friend, father and husband. Cremation has taken place in Windsor and a Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the C. Stuart Sykes Funeral Home, Kingsville, Ontario. Donations to The Heart and Stroke Foundation or The Salvation Army would be greatly appreciated.
