It is with great sadness that the family of Marion announce her passing, after a long illness, at
Philip Court Nursing Home, Gateshead, on 8th February 2026, aged 87 years, with her family at
her bedside. A devoted Mother to her Son Anthony Bowdell, Daughter in law Lyn, a much loved Grandmother to Lee and Neil
and Great Grandmother to
Emily Grace and Isabella Faith.
Funeral service at St. Simon's Church, Wenlock Road, Simonside, South Shields NE34 9BP at 2pm, followed by private committal service at South Shields Crematorium. Family flowers only please, donations, if desired, will be received on the day, with Gratitude to Alzheimer's Society, in support of our fight against Dementia.
All are welcome to join the family
for an informal celebration of Marion's life, to be held after the service, within the Church.
