Marjorie passed away peacefully in Toronto, Canada on June 11, 2024, at the age of 88. Beloved wife of Alex and loving mother to Katherine (Peter), Laura (Marshall) and Barbara (Cameron). Much loved grandma and great grandma. Cherished aunty to Sarah and Philip and their families.
Pre-deceased by her parents Agnes and Charles Potts,
sister Joan, mother-in-law Nell, son-in-law Brian, Katherine's partner Peter, and beloved childhood friend, Maureen.
Marjorie grew up on the
Lawe Top in South Shields.
She and Alex moved to Canada in the early 60s and raised their family near Montreal, Quebec. Majorie found her vocation in teaching, first at Horsley Hill School, then at several junior schools near Montreal.
Marjorie was dearly loved and
will be deeply missed.
A private family celebration of
life has taken place in Canada.
