Brittany Hildebrand Obituary

Brittany Ann Hildebrand
07/09/1991 - 10/16/2025
Brittany Ann Hildebrand, beloved daughter, sister, fiancé and friend, unexpectedly passed away on the 16th October 2025, at the age of 34. Born on the 9th of July 1991, in Houston, Texas, Brittany was a source of light and joy to all that knew her.
Brittany was a 2010 graduate of Episcopal High School in Houston. Brittany distinguished herself with two varsity letters in track and four varsity letters in cross country for the Knights. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from Texas A&M University in 2014 where she was named as a Texas A&M Athletics Scholar Award winner the same year. She competed on the Aggie's equestrian team for five years and won two national championships.
In 2023, Brittany fulfilled her educational goals, completing her Master of Business Administration in Marketing at the Hankamer School of Business at Baylor University. With her God given gift of connecting with people, she made meaningful contributions to the organizations with which she worked: Memorial Park Hunters, Great Southwest Equestrian Center, the Pin Oak Charity Horse Show, Explore Logistics, and Hilington Farms, which she managed and operated in Wellington, Florida.
With her warm, welcoming smile that came straight from the heart, she brightened every room, every occasion. You always knew when she had arrived. Her booming voice, magnetic energy, wholehearted embraces, and that unique laugh were undeniable and infectious. She could make you laugh until you cried, reassure you when you were down, and make you feel included and important. She listened to your every word, looking into your eyes, and making you feel seen and heard. No one was a stranger, and everyone was worthy of her attention.
Not surprisingly, Brittany made friends quickly and nurtured those relationships with unwavering loyalty and generosity. She will be missed and remembered with deep affection by so many; by her Comanche tribe at Camp Waldemar where she was a lifer and Hill Topper, and as a counselor of Connie's Girls where she mentored younger campers. She will be remembered by her childhood friends who rode with her through high school at Memorial Park Hunters, by her Pi Beta Phi sorority sisters, and by the friends she made as a 3rd generation member of the Lamb and Goat Committee of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Her friends at Wellington International, where she competed in world-class events, will recall her exuberant spirit as she earned her place amongst the top equestrian jumpers. Staff at Hilington Farms shared stories of how she was incredibly happy at the barn, grooming and training her horses, preparing herself for the demanding precision and athleticism required for jumper events.
Brittany was out of the gate full speed ahead, eager and willing to explore, compete, and perform at the highest level of commitment. As a lifelong equestrian, she trained hard, competed to win, and devoted herself to the sport. She would wake up early every morning to ride, packing the remainder of her day with back-to-back appointments, trips, and time for friends. Win or lose, she was all in, all the time. Brittany's optimistic mindset and unbridled energy earned the admiration and adoration of all who knew her. Her generous spirit and dedication to philanthropy led to her service on the Board of the Hildebrand Foundation and recognition as a 2024 honoree by the Center for Animal Protection.
With determination, drive and discipline, Brittany set out and most always exceeded expectations. Brittany could transform from a tomboy into a debutante. She was presented at River Oaks Country Club and Allegro. She also participated as an out-of-town duchess for Tyler Rose Festival and Fiesta in San Antonio.
Brittany loved the outdoors, whether it was building a bonfire when it was 80 degrees outside, hunting in a deer blind, skiing in Aspen or running at Memorial Park. Above all, she was happiest and completely at peace when she was cantering on her horse across polo fields.
Uplifted by her faith in Jesus Christ, she lived fully and loved generously. She embraced her life's purpose, to be a light for others, to encourage, lead, inspire, console, and nurture. When she met her fiancé Chance Jones, she knew he was a blessing from the Lord and the love of her life. Her light continues to glow in the memories she left us, and we find consolation knowing that she is at peace in her Heavenly home.
Psalm 34:18 "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit."
Brittany was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jean-Paul Budinger, Dr. Thomas Glenn and Ruth Ann Hildebrand. Left to cherish her memory are her parents Mindy and Jeff Hildebrand and her brothers Jeffery D. Hildebrand, Jr. and John Thomas Hildebrand. She is survived by her maternal grandmother Pat Budinger; aunt Michelle Budinger Maresh; uncle Brad and Lisa Hildebrand; and her cousin Cameron Maresh, who was like a brother to her, and many other cousins and relatives.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from five o'clock until eight o'clock in the evening on Thursday, the 23rd of October, in the grand foyer of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.
A Mass of Christian Burial is to be offered at ten o'clock in the morning, on Friday, the 24th of October, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 1801 Sage Road in Houston.
Those honored to serve as casket bearers are Jeffery D. Hildebrand, Jr., John Thomas Hildebrand, Brad Hildebrand, Cameron Maresh, Thomas Burke, and Ben Tucker.

Dear Hildebrand Family,
We are so deeply sorry for your devastating loss. Our son was an EHS Class of 2010 classmate of Brittany´s and spoke of her with such admiration- Our daughter knew of her grace and exceptional equestrian talent through their shared summer camp. The beauty of her spirit lives on in all who were fortunate to know her. We hold you in our hearts and prayers and send your family our deepest condolences.

I´m so deeply sorry for your loss. Though I only had the chance to meet Brittany a handful of times, her infectious laugh and vibrant energy left an imprint on me, as I´m sure it did on everyone who crossed her path. It´s rare to meet someone whose presence is so full of life and warmth. My heart is with your family during this difficult time.
