Dear Grandad

We hadn't seen you in many years but you were always in our thoughts. As Lisa recalls - Xmas and New Years were great and memorable - though I think the potato salad and chocolate yule log has left it's mark! Your life has bought a wonderfully large and extended family. 10 wonderful sons and daughters. Our thoughts and prayers are with you....sweet dreams.

I will really miss Graham. He has been a part of my life for the past 14 years and was always there for me and my mum. He was kind, caring and thoughtful. He enjoyed life to the full and looked great for his age. I thought he was invincible, but it wasn't to be. I am pleased to have had Graham as my stepfather and I am left with very fond memories. I know how proud he was of our sailing success with our boat Icon and I will miss him coming to Whitby.

To my monderful Grandad

I will always love you, you have been such a big part of my life and I will never forget you.

You were taken so suddenly, I never had the chance to say goodbye and tell you how much you meant to me.

But if you are looking down, you will know.

Please take my love with you because you will always be in my heart.

Graham always looked on the bright side of life and we cannot recall him being any different to this, he was always cheerful and it was a pleasure to have him as a brother in law. We have spent many happy times together over the years and in particular remember times at our caravan in Devon, our holiday in Turkey and of course Hazel and Graham's wedding day. We are fortunate that we spent a lovely bank holiday weekend with Graham and Hazel in August and will cherish all the memories we have. God Bless you Graham xx Sandra and Eric

We will all miss Grandad an awful lot. He was such a warm hearted man and we loved having him over to visit, as much as we loved going up to visit him.

He had a great sense of humour and was always willing to try out new things; skateboards and mini-scooters to name a couple hee hee .... young at heart! :)

I am so glad we got to share these silly moments with him, though his time with us ended far too soon.

Was lovely knowing you Grandad :)

Love your grand daughter, Dayner

We have been lucky in sharing many 'good times' with Graham in recent years and have many happy memories from our time spent in the north east. A few memories i would like to share and hopefully raise a smile.... half a cup of tea....nivea cream!....commenting on his good looks....studying form in the newspaper....15 10p win doubles!....skateboarding!..playing in goal in his sixties!....twitchy feet!....Licorice the rabbit....and of course the singing!
We are all going to miss him.

Graham has been a Godsend to me and my children during the last nine years. I will always appreciate his willingness to uproot from the Midlands to the North East in order to help support us following the loss of Ian. Since then he has been invaluable in carrying out endless practical jobs around our home and garden, always with a cheery whistle, as well as offering thoughtful, sensitive, emotional support too. His impromptu gifts of flowers, cakes, and other little gestures would brighten up my day. We've been lucky to share his last years and enjoy many happy social occasions and holidays and I will hold onto those memories dearly. Finally, I am so pleased that he brought much happiness to my mum and I thank him for enriching her life. He was such a big-hearted man and I will never forget all that he gave to us.

Graham was a happy and funny person who we both loved very much even though he ate all our sweets. Graham told us great stories which made us laugh, and he always had a smile on his face. We will miss buying him his fudge and wine gums, and talking about the footy. Graham ROCKS! Love Grace and Danxxx

Grandad always asked me how I was when he visited, and I know he was pleased I achieved 5 gcse's. It makes me happy when Mom shares stories of Grandad, like playing Father Christmas, I was only a baby and can not remember.I love you Grandad x Heather

Words cannot begin to explain how much I and many others will miss my Dad.

So many special memories of my childhood will stay with me forever. Our family holidays every year and holding my dads little finger on trips to our local shop, for his daily copy of the newspaper.

He sang and whistled all the time, he only ever sang the same words over and over or made the words up, which didn't matter. It brings a smile to my face at this sad time.

I will be forever grateful to my father for the wonderful memories I will cherish.
