A beloved member of the Shrewsbury community, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, leaving
a legacy of dedication,
kindness and service. Born on April 21, 1951 in a small farm cottage without
electricity, Harold's life was a testament to hard work,
reliability and a genuine love for his community.
Harold's dedication to his local community was
legendary, helping fundraise and establish the Radbrook Community Centre, serving as Chairman of the Shrewsbury U3A, an activist for labour rights and a passionate advocate for public transportation. Harold was deeply connected to nature and conservation, a travel enthusiast and loved local sport, a good curry and games at the pub with mates. His professional life at Shropshire Council was marked by his methodical precision to detail and unwavering commitment.
Harold remained in the
Family home, helping to look after his baby Brother and then to look after his ageing parents. He is survived by his Brothers Chris Bound and Andrew Bound and was a dedicated and loving Uncle to his Niece Ava (11) and Nephew Auden (9). Harold's life is a lasting legacy of humble dedication and service. He will be deeply missed, while his impact on the Shrewsbury Community and the lives he touched will continue to
resonate.
