David Farthing

A Son, Husband, Father & Brother. A best
friend, role model and so much more to many
people. He touched so many lives in various ways
and brought a sense of calm and peace to all,
forever making those around him smile. He was
a kind, caring man and many referred to him as
special, which is exactly true.
He was born and raised in Stratford-Upon-Avon on
Hathaway Green Lane. In his younger years David
was head chef at what is now the Encore, working
alongside his best friend John Price, as well as
having a stall on the Stratford market. His second
home was in Matadepera, Spain, where he found the
love of his life, Montse. They spent 10 very happy
years together.
David spent the last 4 years battling cancer. The
elegance, strength and dignity he had all the way
through was a testament to his character. Sadly,
David ended his battle with cancer on Wednesday
the 22nd of June 2022 and was laid to rest and
cremated on Thursday the 23rd of June 2022 in
Matadepera, Spain. For those that did not get to
attend, these are a few words in his memory and for
those in his hometown to remember him.
Many say heaven gained another angel, but for our
family he was already an angel among us through
his 57 years. We know his soul will continue to
guide us through and we will carry on his memory
as we promised him.
David - we love you so much, and we know that
you will take care of us wherever you go.
