It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Alan Chapman from Adolphus Street, Whitburn, who passed away peacefully in hospital on
25th October 2025 at the age of 79 after a short illness. Alan is the beloved son of Arthur and Doris Chapman, brother of the late Brian Chapman, only uncle of Justine Chapman, brother in law of Doris Chapman and beloved uncle of Victoria, Mitchel and Kieran.
Alan's funeral will take place at South Shields Crematorium at 10:30am on Wednesday 26th November 2025. This will be followed by a celebration of his life at Whitburn Cricket Club, Whitburn, Sunderland. In lieu of flowers, the family have asked for donations
to Leukaemia Research
