Lea, Andrew and family would like to thank family, friends and colleagues who gathered to say farewell
to Charles and to join the celebration of his life, including lots of laughing and singing, befitting the funny character
of Charles.
Over the past five and a half years and throughout his Alzheimer's journey, Charles and Lea have received unwavering support from so many. The Thornbury Care Home family; the staff, residents and their relatives. Father Lloyd Brown for his spiritual care and the committal for Charles. Lea and family will never forget the care and kindness shown and they will be forever grateful.
To Allyson Hayter humanist, thank you so much for capturing the character of Charles so perfectly.
Heartfelt thanks to John Duckworth Funeral Directors who provided care, support and empathy throughout. Your professionalism was outstanding, Richard and the team went above and beyond and walked this difficult journey with us, always by our side. John Duckworth LMBIFD, your staff are a credit to your family business especially at a time when families need it most.
Finally, our heartfelt gratitude to all for the Offering of Mass for Charles. God bless, Lea and family.

What a wonderful person Charlie (as I always called him) was.
He was so full of life and living and I will, with many others, remember his zest for life, his generous spirit and his incredible sense of humour.

What wonderful memories I will always treasure of this man.
