REAY Washington Suddenly, at home, on July 12, aged 74 years, Mary Jean (nee Scoble), devoted wife of Joseph, much loved mam of Jacqueline, Kathleen and Lesley, dear mother-in-law to Henry, Martin and Steve, loving nana and great-nanny Jean, beloved sister, sister-in-law and aunt. Would friends please meet for service in Sunderland Crematorium, on Friday at 3pm. Resting peacefully with Peter Dodd Family Funeral Directors, Grindon. Tel. 5200666. Loved and remembered always.

Dear Jean
I can honestly say Ive never met anyone as kind hearted as you, we all miss you very much. I miss the days out shopping we used to have, and more so when the holidays come round, we were all so easy going, drinking tea in just about every cafe and you would always insist in paying for everyone every time.
You were always so kind to me too and made me feel like part of the family. I know your looking after my Dad and he you, remember how he would be the first to send you a christmas card (first week in December or last in November lol).
Ill never forget the Quotes you used ie "Simply the best", and my favorite "its nice to be nice". I tell myself that every day.

2 years ago tomorrow you suddenly left a great big hole in our live's, if only we were granted one wish in life....that would be for you to be back here with us! Nan we miss you so much and so does my little gracie, she always talks about you with such fondness and her memories of you are so strong even though she was so young when you left us!! love you and miss you like you wouldnt believe, lots of kisses are sent up too you in heaven nana, forever in our hearts xxxxxxxxx
