With heavy hearts, we announce that Eric Keen passed away peacefully
on Sunday 2nd November, at
St. Wilfrid's Hospice, surrounded by his wife of 63 years and their three children, following a short battle with oesophageal cancer.
A loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Eric was a devoted family man who helped so many people and touched so many lives, both as a maths teacher and through his love of sport. He will be deeply missed.
To honour his wishes, the family
will hold a private funeral service on Tuesday, 25th November.
The family hope that all those whose lives he touched will raise a glass to him in his memory. Rather than sending flowers, the family would greatly appreciate donations to
St. Wilfrid's Hospice, Bosham,

Eric was a talented teacher, who inspired and encouraged so many young people. But he was more than that. He had a giant personality, was kind and generous and made time for people. He was a much loved family friend, and we will be forever grateful for what he did for us. I will miss `putting the world to rights´ with him, down at the allotment. Grandad.. As I told you many times, I'm eternally grateful for everything you did for me and my family. You are my biggest inspiration. Fly high and I'll see you soon. Make sure you've got the footy on ready for when I'm there. Love you. George.
